Welcome back to ‘Living in Mexico Blog’

A lot of people have told me they been to Mexico because they have been accorss toe border into a border town. Do you really think you are in Mexico when you are in a town that probably have as many tourists a there in that particular town. I don’t think so. In the first place, you have the influence of the american dollar. Therefore the items you see for sale are going to priced accordingly.

I also believe that if you want to get to know the people you should go farther south into a more southerly state. I feel you will find the people more friendly. If you want to find you a female companion and you are not an adonis, naturally you need to go where you will have less competition. i have always found that if you are in an area where the temporary people are younger and have more money than you, you will always have more competition.

If you go to a place deeper into mexico to look for your future mate to be you will have more opportunities to meet younger, prettier, more holsum, and more receptive. Mexico has a lower pay scale than does the united states. If you go down there on the prowl, you need to have enough money to take care of what you go after. You don’t have to be a millionaire but you do need enough money coming in to support to take care of your newfound family.

You need to have enough to be able to spark you new friend. I have seen many people think they can buy the feelings of the target. That is a big mistake. It is good to buy her simple things but don’t over do it. Mexican women are not different than other women in other places.

Buy them an ice-cream or take them to see a movie. Take them for a walk on sunday at the plaza. Invite them to a soda or a supper of tacos. The food on the street is delicious. I have llived in Mexico for the most part of the past 27 years.

The Wreck

The thing that really surprised me was, even though my son Alex was thrown out of the vehicle from the impact, and my wife and youngest daughter whom at the time was only a few months old and the two older girls  were not thrown out with my son, no one sustained a serious injury.  Alex was thrown out of the vehicle and only recieved a small scratch on his right cheek. My wife Adriana only sustained only a minor bruise on her right arm and Mia Citlaly escaped uninjured. My oldest daughter whom was only 6 at the time and my middle daughter Estrella Marina , almost two years old were only shaken up. Even though I lost two vehicles and over 20,000 pesos from the ordeal, I consider myself a very fortunate person.

Since I was in the process of putting my children in my name and other papers to take my wife and every one to the united states, all of that was put on a back burner until I could save enough money to start all over again.

I never bought another car in Mexico. There are taxis and a bus that run by the house. I don’t feel the need to have full time street decoration parked in front of my house.

Take care

Until next time

Photos added

I have uploaded a few photos of the family but I have not figured out how to make a link to the pictures. I have not been taking care of the blog as well as I should. I hope to much better in the future. My problem has been, I am unable to renew my passport and therefore I have not been able to go home to my family in Mexico. There is a problem with the state of Arizona child protection agency. They say that I still owe child support but my payments were paid automatically. That is one of the great things about computers, they really simplify life. On the other hand the same machine can complicate the hell out of things.

As I said, my payments were always paid automatically. As a matter of fact I was paying much more the the required amount. My son turned 20 years old this year and they are still taking out for child support. That should have ended when my son turned 18. That is not the worst part. Not only are they still taking out child support, they turned my name in to the credit bureau and now I cannot renew my passport so I can go home to my wife and four children.

Three years ago I came up to South Dakota (where I am now) and bought a house so it would be easier to bring my family to the united states. When I returned to Mexico and started the paperwork for my family, bad luck jumped on my back like a mad monkey. What I mean by that is bad luck beset us and has continues to plague us.

We had an appointment the following day with the immigration to begin the paperwork to legalize my children since I am an american citizen.

Then, out of the blue !!!!BAM !!! we were broadsided by a pickup truck that was traveling in excess of 100 kilometers per hour (according to the police, the speed limit was 35 kph). I believe the driver of the other vehicli was intoxicated by the way he was talking and walking. Also, when he came near me I could smell alcohol on his breath. We were both taken to the police headquarters and booked. I was the only one that was handcuffed. We were both held for three days and that really surprised me as I was not at fault. This was the first time I had problems with the police since 1983 in Hermosillo when …….. but that is another story for later on in the blog.

I was ordered to give my other vehicle to the driver of the other pickuop that ran into us. I did not have to do it, I just had to do it if I wanted to get out of jail.

I lost in all over 20,000 pesos and two vehicles. the worst part was what happened in the wreck.

My son Alex (four years old at the time) was thrown out of the rear window of my vehicle ( a 1978 International Scout ) and into the middle of the street. Luckily there was no traffic at the time. I lady ran out into the street and picked up my son who was crying. I looked around at my wife and the other children to see if they were all o.k.

I didn’t see my son. I was suddenly terrified. I opened the door of the vehicle and ran to the rear where there was a child crying. There was a woman holding Alex and his head was covered up with a small blanket. I ran over there and pulled the cover off the head of the crying little boy to make sure it was Alex and see the extent of the damage he had suffered. I gently took him from the lady’s arms and thanked her for picking my son up from the middle of the road. At this time I was also crying. Just a few minutes later an ambulance arrived. Adriana and the girls were out of the Scout at this time. I was so surprised to see that none of the other members of my family never sustained any serious injuries. I was also surprised about other things that I will elaborate on in my next posting. Until then, MAY YOU HAVE GOOD FORTUNE AND FAIR WEATHER

Hello world!

Hello,

My name is Truman Wages and I am the owner of this WebLog. I have made a few attempts at posting on my weblog but I had no luck. I think I have things under control an now I feel I can successfully post content to my Journal.

You may be wondering why I named my Blog the “Living in Mexico Blog.” That is very simple. I live in Mexico the majority of the time since I have my family still there in my home that I own in Zacoalco de Torres, Jalisco, Mexico. It is a very nice place to live since it is a small town but is still close to Guadalajara (about 65 kilometers).

I am 60 years old at this writing and my wife is 27 years old as of the 8th of May of this year (2006).We have four children, Maria Guadalupe Wages (6 yrs. old) born 4 may 2000, Truman Alexander Wages (4 yrs. old) born 22 December, 2001 , Estrella Marina Wages (2 yrs. old) born 26, Feb. 2004 and last but not least we come to the baby , Mia Citlali Wages whom was born on 12 April of this year (2006). That makes her five months old as of this 12th of September, which just happens to be today.

The purpose of this journal is to leave comments to people, especially older men like myself, who think they might like to move to Mexico and possible find them a young wife or friend who maybe will recharge thier ‘batteries’. There is nothing finer than a pretty ‘morena’ to scratch your back when it itches.

When I get a little more adept at managing my blog, I will begin to add photos of the family and friends and Mexico in general.
